Hanover, PA – Two downtown Hanover businesses, Jocelyn’s Puppies LLC and Blue Bird Tattoo Studio, have been recognized with 2025 Best of Hanover Awards by BusinessRate, a national company that provides intelligent ranking solutions and comprehensive review management services to help local businesses thrive through data-driven insights and proven strategies.
The awards are based entirely on Google review data, using BusinessRate’s proprietary scoring system that evaluates businesses within the same category and geographic area, ensuring fair and accurate comparisons. Unlike popularity contests or public voting, BusinessRate rankings rely strictly on measurable performance metrics, including historical review consistency, recent customer feedback, and review quality.

Jocelyn’s Puppies LLC Named Best Pet Store
Jocelyn’s Puppies LLC, located at 10 Carlisle Street, was recognized as Best Pet Store in Hanover. Founded in 2009, Jocelyn’s hand-selects and carries puppies, kittens, small animals, and reptiles, while also offering vaccine clinics and a wide selection of pet supplies. The business is known for providing a hands-on, welcoming experience that helps families find the perfect pet.
Jocelyn’s Puppies is open Monday–Saturday from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM and Sunday from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Following the announcement, the team proudly displayed their award on the front page of their website and expressed gratitude to their loyal customers and community supporters who made the recognition possible.
Blue Bird Tattoo Studio Named Best Tattoo Shop
Blue Bird Tattoo Studio, located at 10 Baltimore Street and operating by appointment only, also received a 2025 Best of Hanover Award. The studio is owned by Missi Blue, a professional tattoo artist with 20 years of experience, widely recognized for her bright, bold color work and detailed pet portraits.
Missi opened Blue Bird Tattoo in 2020, just one month before the COVID-19 pandemic, and has spent the last several years growing the studio into a respected and evolving creative space in downtown Hanover.
“At first, I honestly thought the congratulatory letter was a scam,” Missi shared. “But then I went and looked at our Google reviews myself, and I became so proud of the work that my team and I have created here in Hanover. This wasn’t a popularity contest based on votes — it was only based on facts and data — and that meant a lot to me.”
Missi added that the award reflects the dedication of the entire Blue Bird Tattoo team and the trust of their clients, reinforcing the studio’s commitment to quality artistry and customer experience.
