YWCA HANOVER ANNOUNCES EXCITING $11.8 MILLION CAPITAL CAMPAIGN

[HANOVER, PA, April 2025]—YWCA Hanover announces the launch of its transformative $11.8 million capital campaign aimed at expanding and enhancing its facilities to better serve the growing needs of the Hanover community.

“The campaign has already gained significant momentum during its quiet phase, reaching $10 million, but we still have more to raise to meet our goal,” said Chief Executive Officer Jody Shaffer. “The campaign funds several initiatives including the construction of a Children’s Learning Academy and renovations to the current YWCA facility, creating multi-purpose spaces for educational and empowerment programs for the community.” Construction began this month.

Vanessa Berger, President of YWCA Hanover Board of Directors, emphasized the campaign's strategic timing: "As our community grows more diverse and dynamic, we must evolve to meet it’s changing needs. This investment ensures that YWCA Hanover remains at the forefront of providing essential services that strengthen families and build community."
