Delone Catholic Strengthens Future-Ready Curriculum with New Business Leadership Team

Bradly Gossert and Angie Klunk
Delone Catholic High School is entering a bold new chapter with the appointment of two local leaders to head its newly established School of Business & Entrepreneurship. Bradly Gossert joins the faculty as the Director of Business & Entrepreneurship Education, while alumna Angela (Smith) Klunk ’93, P’16, P’20, P’28 returns to her roots as the program’s Business Education Advisor.

The appointments are a direct fulfillment of the Academics & Technology objectives outlined in the school’s strategic plan, Timeless Excellence: Our Next Chapter. By launching this signature program, Delone Catholic seeks to reinvigorate its long-standing traditional business program to deliver a modern, practice-based curriculum that integrates cutting-edge technology with high-level academic rigor, ensuring students are prepared for the complexities of a global workforce.

The Practitioner in the Classroom

Bradly Gossert isn't just teaching business; he has lived it. A veteran educator and former career coordinator, Gossert also brings the grit of a small business owner to the halls of Delone Catholic. As the co-owner of Checkered Flag Media LLC and the former manager of the Mason Dixon 270 Racing Series, he has navigated the high-stakes world of supply chains, sponsorships, and brand management.

"I’m struck by how perfectly this curriculum aligns with my own path," Gossert said. "From coaching football on the field to managing a racing series in the front office, I’ve seen how discipline and execution are what truly turn a 'big idea' into a reality. I want to show our students that entrepreneurship is a mindset they can apply to any career."

The Executive Mentor

Returning to Delone Catholic is Angela (Smith) Klunk, a 1993 graduate whose career has taken her to the highest levels of corporate finance. A Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Klunk is the founder of Coastal Clarity Advisory, where she provides strategic financial leadership to growing businesses. She previously served as Director of Finance at Graphcom, Inc. and as CFO for Elsner Engineering Works, Inc.

In her advisory role, Klunk will bridge the gap between the classroom and the boardroom. She will lead the effort to build a Business Advisory Board and secure internships with regional companies, directly supporting the school's strategic goal of fostering external partnerships that enhance the student experience.

"Coming back to Delone Catholic to help shape this program is incredibly meaningful," Klunk shared. "I want to help provide these students with the same strong foundation I received here, but with the added advantage of direct mentorship and exposure to the professional world before they even graduate."

Preparing the Next Generation

Under this new leadership, students will explore tracks in innovation, modern outreach, and industry specialization. The program will feature student-run enterprises, "Shark Tank" style pitch competitions, and dual-enrollment opportunities, all grounded in the ethical principles of Catholic Social Teaching.

"By integrating this program into our Earn Your Armor framework, we are meeting the strategic goals of our Timeless Excellence plan," Principal David Staub ’93, P’25, P’28, noted. "With Mr. Gossert and Mrs. Klunk, we are not just teaching students how to read a balance sheet; we are leveraging technology and industry expertise to help them lead with integrity and think like innovators."
