BOROUGH OF HANOVER SHARES LEAF COLLECTION INFORMATION

HANOVER, PA — The Borough’s annual leaf collection program will run through the end of the year or until the first snow fall. Borough residents may dispose of leaves either by placing them in bags or by raking them into loose piles at the curb for collection.

To ensure safe and efficient service, please do not include sticks, twigs, branches, or other debris with your leaves. Our leaf vacuum equipment is designed specifically for leaves only and cannot properly process woody materials.

Please note that there is no fixed pick-up route or schedule. The Public Works crew will rotate through all neighborhoods as time permits and as leaf volume and weather conditions require. Crews will make repeated passes throughout the season.

In addition to curbside collection, leaves and garden debris may also be dropped off at the Borough Recycling Yard, located at 139 North Street, during the following hours:

  • Weekdays: 6:00 AM – 3:00 PM (Entrance closes at 2:50 PM)
  • Saturdays: 7:00 AM – 12:00 PM (Entrance closes at 11:50 AM)

For more information, please contact the Department of Public Works at 717-632-3939.
