BBBS of South-Central PA Wins Agency of the Year Award
Big Brothers Big Sisters of South-Central PA Honored with 2024 Big Brothers Big Sisters of America Agency of The Year Award
The agency is recognized for their exemplary leadership in delivering high-impact, one-on-one mentoring programs that support the growth and success of local youth.
Harrisburg, PA (June 18, 2025) - Big Brothers Big Sisters of South-Central PA has been recognized as a Big Brothers Big Sisters of America (BBBSA) Agency of the Year Award Winner for program and team excellence in 2024. Out of more than 230 agencies across the country, BBBSA selected Big Brothers Big Sisters of South-Central PA as one of four affiliate organizations to receive this top honor.
Big Brothers Big Sisters of South-Central PA received the 2024 Agency of the Year Award in the Mid to Large Agency affiliate size category on June 12th at the BBBSA National Conference. The award was given in recognition of the agency’s 2024 accomplishments including serving 1,320 youth, the greatest number served in a single year across the past two decades; the acquisition of a neighboring affiliate, increasing their service area from 5 to 7 counties; development of the region’s only Youth Leadership Summit; and quality of program services.

Big Brothers Big Sisters of South-Central PA was also recognized at the BBBSA National Conference as one of 40 organizations to receive the Growth Award for program excellence in 2024.
For close to 45 years, Big Brothers Big Sisters of South-Central PA has been dedicated to advancing program growth and quality services across the organization, making a lasting impact on the lives of young people. Today, the affiliate creates and supports one-to-one mentoring relationships, helping build self-confidence and emotional well-being and empowering young people on a path to graduate with a plan for their futures and a mentor whose impact can last a lifetime.
