Barley Snyder Attorney Erica Townes Appointed to Y Community Development Corp. Board of Directors

York, Pa. – Barley Snyder is pleased to announce that attorney Erica R. Townes has been appointed to the Board of Directors of the Y Community Development Corporation.

The Y Community Development Corporation (YCDC), the community development arm of the YMCA of the Roses, has assisted in strengthening the City of York for over 25 years. The organization delivers a broad range of programs and services designed to meet community needs and enhance the overall quality of life for residents. In collaboration with YMCA programs, the YCDC continues to advance impactful initiatives that revitalize neighborhoods and contribute to a safer and stronger community.

Townes is a member of Barley Snyder’s Business and Real Estate practice groups, where she represents businesses of all sizes and sophistication, providing strategic legal counsel on governance, succession planning, mergers and acquisitions, and other corporate matters. She also maintains an active nonprofit practice, advising tax‑exempt organizations on formation, governance, and regulatory compliance. In addition,

Townes assists clients with residential and commercial development, property acquisition, commercial lease negotiations, and zoning and land use concerns.

Townes’ dedication to community enrichment is reflected in her active and meaningful involvement with several local organizations. She currently serves on the Board of Directors for the York County Bar Foundation and the DreamWrights Center for Community Arts. In addition, Townes is a member of the York County Bar Foundation’s Grants Committee.

Townes will succeed partner Justin A. Tomevi on YCDC’s board, continuing the strong leadership and commitment he brought to the role.
