Art Downtown, the gallery of the Hanover Area Arts Guild, is featuring fine arts and crafts this holiday season as part of its Gallery of Arts and Crafts. As always, shoppers will find paintings of every shape and medium at Art Downtown — oils, acrylics, watercolors, pastels and mixed mediums. But they’ll also discover new creations in clay, acrylic pours and collage. Need a unique gift? Art Downtown’s artisans offer one-of-a-kind artwork — from scarves, hats and handbags,to miniature paintings, gazing balls and pottery. Want to add a homemade touch to your gift? Nothing says love like a mini-stocking, hand-crafted tag or ornament to complete your Christmas list. Jewelry, gourd creations and handmade soaps can be found in the gallery. Completely stumped? Art Downtown has an array of prints, perfect for framing, note cards, and magnets for those on your list whose wants and desires are hard to pinpoint. The gallery, a 501(c)3 organization, is open 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Tuesday-Thursday, 10 a.m.-7 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m-3 p.m. Saturday.
