Smoking just one cigarette restricts blood flow\, depriving the skin of the oxygen and nutrients it needs to thrive and heal.  Some of the not-so-attractive skin-related consequences of smoking include premature aging\, bags under the eyes\, and permanent creases and lines around the mouth and a sallow complexion.  Even worse\, smoking increases the odds for developing squamous cell skin cancer and cataracts in the eyes.

LOCATION:Are you ready to quit? Have you been thinking about quitting but just don't know where to get started? Hanover Hospital will offer the next "Freedom From Smoking " series\, which will begin on Monday\, January 25\, 2016. Classes will be held weekly from 5:30 to 7 p.m. through March 7\, at the Hillside Medical Center\, 250 Fame Avenue\, Suite 200\, Hanover\, PA. The group will meet twice during week #4: February 15 and 17. Participation is FREE.
