Curbside Garden Waste & Leaf Collection in Borough of Hanover
HANOVER, PA — The Borough’s annual curbside garden waste and brush pick-up will take place on October 12 – 16, 2026. For brush and yard waste collection, tree limbs should be bundled in sections no longer than three feet and must not contain wire. Garden waste may be bagged or placed at the curb, but dirt should not be included. Leaves and brush must be placed in separate piles. Grass, rocks, and stones are not accepted. Entire trees and oversized brush piles cannot be placed out for regular brush

Hanover, PA – The Borough of Hanover Department of Parks and Recreation is pleased to announce its 2nd Annual Golf Classic, scheduled for Monday, October 19, 2026, at The Bridges Golf Club, 6729 York Road, Abbottstown, PA. Registration will begin at 8:00 a.m. with light refreshments, followed by a shotgun start at 8:45 a.m. The cost is $100 per person and includes a round of golf, golf cart, two drink tickets, and lunch. Borough of Hanover to Perform Semi-Annual Hydrant Flushing
Hanover, Pa. – The Borough of Hanover Department of Water Resources will perform semi-annual hydrant flushing Monday through Thursday, October 5 - 8, 2026. Public hydrants and dead-end lines located mainly west of Baltimore and Carlisle Streets, including McSherrystown Borough and Conewago Township, will be flushed on Monday and Tuesday, October 5th and 6th. Hydrants located east of Baltimore and Carlisle Streets will be flushed on Wednesday and Thursday, October 7th and 8th. Flushing will begin at 8AM
