Summary of July Borough of Hanover Council Meeting

BOROUGH COUNCIL ACTIONS AND ANNOUNCEMENTS:
CONDOLENCE RESOLUTION FOR COMMISSIONER ROTH: Senator Kristin Phillips-Hill presented a Senatorial Resolution of Condolence for Commissioner Roth.
NATIONAL FARMER’S MARKET WEEK: Mayor Heidi Hormel presented Director of Parks, Recreation and Library Services Matt Purkins with a Mayoral Proclamation naming August 2 – 8, 2026 as National Farmer’s Market Week in the Borough of Hanover.
WAWA FOOD MARKET & FUELING STATION: Approval was granted for Resolution No. 1473 for Preliminary / Final Subdivision and Land Development Plan for “301 Eisenhower Drive – Wawa Food Market & Fueling Station”.
EAGLE ROCK RESIDENTIAL DEVELOPMENT: Approval was granted for Public Improvement Bond Reduction for Eagle Rock Residential Development Community Water System Extension.
PURCHASING POLICY RESOLUTION: Approval was granted for Resolution No. 1474 for Bid Procurement, Contracts and Purchasing Policy to include procurement through Keystone Purchasing Network (KPN).
J.A. MYERS SETTLEMENT AGREEMENT: Approval was granted to approve the J.A. Myers Settlement Agreement for Mustang Pointe.
EISENHOWER DRIVE SIGNALIZATION UPGRADE PROJECT: Approval was granted to extend and readvertise the “Eisenhower Drive Signalization Upgrade” Project.
JOINT MUNICIPAL SUPPORT LETTER: Approval was granted for a letter of support for a joint municipal support for county-wide coordination and leadership regarding homelessness and its impacts throughout York County.
SALARY RESOLUTION: Approval was granted for Resolution No. 1475 to amend the salary resolution for the Police Lieutenant.
TAKE HOME VEHICLE POLICY: Approval was granted to revise the Employee Take Home Vehicle Policy.
2025 AUDIT: Finance Director James Shelton announced that the 2025 Audit, completed by Clifton Larson Allen, LLP, has been completed and will be available on the Borough’s website on Thursday, July 23, 2026.
