Pennsylvania Awards Christian Zimmerman Outstanding Advocate for Registered Apprenticeships

YORK, PA - The Manufacturers’ Association is proud to share that Christian Zimmerman, Apprenticeship Coordinator, has been named Outstanding Advocate for Building a Thriving Registered Apprenticeship Ecosystem as part of the 2024 to 2025 Pennsylvania Apprenticeship Awards.

Honored by Pennsylvania’s Department of Labor and Industry
Presented by the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry and the Apprenticeship and Training Office, this
recognition celebrates Christian’s leadership in expanding registered apprenticeship and pre-apprenticeship programs,
opening doors to more Pennsylvanians, and helping strengthen the Commonwealth’s apprenticeship ecosystem.

Big impact, real opportunities
Christian’s work supports over 60 manufacturing employers as they grow their talent pipelines and he helps apprentices and future apprentices find clear, career-building pathways. This past year the Association had enrollment of active 200 registered apprenticeships across eight different manufacturing trades.

“We are proud of the momentum he is helping create for workforce development across Pennsylvania and for our
manufacturing community”, noted Tom Palisin, Executive Director.
