Hanover, PA – Main Street Hanover invites the community to a fun-filled afternoon of costumes, candy, and downtown exploration at the Downtown Trick or Treat, happening Saturday, October 10, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM in Downtown Hanover.

This family-friendly celebration is part of Main Street Hanover’s 2nd Saturdays series and promises a safe and festive environment for children, families, and Halloween enthusiasts of all ages.
Registration is FREE! Participants can check in at the Main Street Hanover tent located in Center Square to receive a Trick or Treat Card, which will serve as a guide to participating downtown businesses offering candy and Halloween surprises.
Costumes are highly encouraged, whether you come dressed as a creepy creature, a superhero, or your favorite storybook character, downtown Hanover is the perfect backdrop to show off your Halloween spirit.
Live Music Performances: Enjoy the sounds of the Leister Jazz Quartet filling the air with music, creating a lively and festive atmosphere throughout the day.
Adam’s County Heros will have a Captain America Cosplayer in Center Square for a fantastical meet and greet from 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM

The Downtown Trick or Treat is free to attend, but registration is requested in advance at www.mainstreethanover.org or directly on Eventbrite.
More 2nd Saturday Activities Downtown
In addition to trick or treat, Downtown Hanover will be buzzing with even more 2nd Saturday activities, including storytimes and children’s crafts with the Hanover Area Artists Guild and Miss Kelly at Little Fox Coffee & Books, a local artist vendor pop-up at Fat Bat Brewing Company, and special 2nd Saturday offerings at Cultivated Essentials Co., including 10% off DIY candle-making. The Neas House will host open house tours, a historic military display, and a basket-making demonstration, while The Serpent’s Key Shoppe and Sanctuary will offer its Pay-What-You-Can Tea Bar and Plants & Produce Swap. Lydian Stone Brewing Company at Greer’s Burger Garage will serve homemade cinnamon rolls and mimosas from 11 a.m.–2 p.m., and Church of Satire Comedy Club will offer discounted show tickets through participating downtown restaurants. The Eichelberger Performing Arts Center will also present the Yacht Rock Gold Experience, giving visitors even more opportunities to enjoy shopping, dining, arts, history, entertainment, and community throughout Downtown Hanover.
