2012 Heart Walk and Festival
The Heart Walk is a signature fundraising event for the American Heart Association and promotes physical activity and heart-healthy living in a fun family environment. The Heart Walk will create hope, inspire change and celebrate success for all participants who commit to fighting cardiovascular disease and stroke in their own lives. A few steps and a little bit of heart is all it takes to fight our communities' number one killer, heart disease and stroke.
The event will offer a 2.5 mile walk (with 1-mile alternate route) that focuses attention on exercise as an important part of a heart-healthy lifestyle. This year’s event will also feature family fun activities, free food, and music and entertainment provided by Adam “The A-Bomb” Bennett from ProForm DJs and Wink 103. Prize giveaways will also be featured throughout the day, including a 37” Vizio Flat Screen TV and a Wii, with the Wii Fit Board. The event is dog friendly – water and treats will be provided.
